My Approach
My approach is grounded in person-centered psychotherapy and is guided by your needs,
goals and a pace that is comfortable to you. I'll provide a safe, non-judgemental space for you to reflect on your life. I draw from a range of therapeutic modalities including ACT (which stands for Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), Motivational Interviewing and Mindful Self-Compassion practices. As an HSP (Highly Sensitive Person) myself, I am prepared and informed to help you in counselling psychotherapy if you believe you share this trait.
ACT helps you live a fulfilling, meaningful life guided by your values, even when you are
experiencing pain and challenges. ACT guides you to respond to your thoughts and feelings
more flexibly. This helps more of your actions line up with who you want to be. ACT has
thousands of research studies demonstrating its efficacy in treating stress, depression, anxiety
and chronic pain, to name a few. ACT is recognized by the World Health Organization (WHO).

Motivational Interviewing is a collaborative approach to counselling that can help to uncover your own motivations for positive change, and is derived from the person-centered stream of therapy. You will feel understood, and be encouraged to draw on your inner wisdom and resources as you make informed choices that align with your priorities and values.
Mindful Self-Compassion brings awareness to our pain and suffering, and offers a balm of
kindness and compassion towards oneself in these moments, just as one would towards a
friend. This helps us feel compassion for ourselves, find direction, and improve our relationships.
Fees $175 per 50 min session
